“Our ability to be present in the here and now can make a difference in how we perceive our tomorrow. Being present now will help us realize that the tomorrow we have pictured and imagined is already starting—right here, right now. Our tomorrow can actually be today”

Self-compassion💗

When you’re overwhelmed, try talking to yourself like you would to your best friend who is having a hard time.

💗Be gentle.

“𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘰𝘬 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘰𝘬”
We see and hear this phrase thrown around everywhere on social media these days that it’s become almost cliché.

It’s being misinterpreted to mean you can just wallow in your suffering, dejected in the corner for however long you want and no one should give a bother, because well, it’s ok not to be ok , so.

Sure, you may need to be “not ok” for as long as you NEED to but not just because you WANT to. There is a difference.

Indeed, you may need to not be ok for a time in order to heal, but in order to heal you need to do something! It requires your active participation to show up to yourself—to work on yourself.

#innerwork can start by asking for the help you need and deserve. It’s ok to ask for help and receive help. Allow others to help you, love you, understand you, and be there for you.
