The story is about how a boy saw a dragon in his bedroom one morning but when he tries to tell his mother about it, she insists “there’s no such thing as a dragon.”
They kept ignoring the dragon until it got so big that it filled their entire house and practically took over their life until…finally they acknowledged its existence. Then the dragon shrunk back to its original little size.
I thought about how our emotions can be likened to the dragon in this story.
Emotions sometimes get so big and out of control because at the core of outbursts, emotions, just like the dragon in this story, just want to be noticed.
So before your emotions become too big that it will encumber your entire being or take over your self, notice it.
Make space for it.
Be curious about it and give it the attention it needs.
You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll learn about yourself once you pay attention to your emotions.

No matter how harsh the winter has been, spring will come.
No matter how dark the clouds may seem, the sun will come.
No matter how difficult your days could be, peace will come.
Just like how flowers bloom in the springtime after days of being in darkness…
Your heart will blossom and thrive despite being in gloom for days,
or months,
or years.
There is hope.
There is peace.
Whatever you’re going through, it too shall pass.
Spring will come.
Peace and love 💗
